Yuvraj Singh is a former Indian cricketer who was a key member of the Indian national team between 2000 and 2019. He is considered one of the best all-rounders to have played for India, and is known for his aggressive captaincy and powerful hitting.
Yuvraj was born on December 12, 1981 in Chandigarh, India. He began his cricketing career as a teenager, playing for Punjab in the Under-19s and for the India A team.
He made his international debut for India in 2000, at the age of 19, in a One Day International (ODI) match against Kenya. He quickly established himself as a key player for India, known for his aggressive left-handed batting and his ability to bowl both medium pace and off spin.
In 2011, Yuvraj played a key role in India's run to the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup, scoring a memorable century against West Indies in the group stage and taking a key wicket in the final to help India win the tournament for the first time in 28 years.
Yuvraj Singh has achieved a lot more in his career, including the Man of Series award at the 2011 ICC World Cup.
After the world cup, Yuvraj's career took a setback when he was diagnosed with cancer. He took a break from the game to undergo treatment, and after battling the disease, he returned to the field in 2012.

Yuvraj retired from all forms of international cricket in 2019, having represented India in 304 ODIs, 40 Test matches, and 58 T20Is, scoring over 11,000 runs and taking more than 150 wickets. He is considered one of the greatest Indian cricketers of all time, and was widely respected and admired for his ability to come back from adversity.
After his retirement, he has been involved in commentary, mentoring and business ventures. He was also appointed as the mentor of Indian team for the 2021 T20 world cup.
