Guwahati: The Rajasthan Royals team, who showed an authoritative performance in both the batting and bowling departments, won the match of the 2023 Indian Premier League tournament against the Delhi Capitals by a whopping 57 runs.

Trent Boult gave an early shock to the Delhi Capitals team chasing the target of 200 runs at the Barsapara ground here. Boult dismissed Prithvi Shah and Manish Pandey to give Rajasthan the lead. Later, Riley Rossov also conceded a wicket. The Delhi Capitals team, which had lost 3 wickets for 36 runs, was in trouble.

David Warner and Lalit Yadav, who came together for the fourth wicket, put the team in danger by putting on a partnership of 64 runs. However, Lalit Yadav conceded the wicket after scoring 38 runs. David Warner, who fought alone till the end, scored 65 runs in 55 balls but to no avail. Like the last two matches, none of the other batsmen supported Captain Warner in this match as well. Finally, Delhi Capitals suffered a hat-trick of defeats. After losing the toss and batting, Rajasthan played with a bang right from the start. The first wicket partnership between Buttler and Jaiswal, who batted first, was 98 runs. Jaiswal faced 31 balls and scored 60 runs with 11 boundaries and 1 six. The duo occupied the field for 8.3 overs. Buttler, who played crease, blasted 79 runs in 51 balls with 11 fours and 1 six.

Meanwhile, Samson dugout as captain, but Ryan Parag scored 7 runs and joined the dugout. However, Shimran Hetmyer and Butler did not disappoint the fans. Hetmyer, who made a splash in the death overs, scored 39 runs with 4 sixes and increased the team's total. Meanwhile, Dhruv Jurel, who faced only three balls, scored eight runs with a six.
