Mumbai Indians suffered a second defeat in a row after paying a heavy price for their failure in batting and bowling. Gujarat Titans have won 5 out of 7 matches played so far in the tournament and are now in the 2nd position in the points table.

Mumbai Indians stumble in batting:
Chasing a total of 208 runs for victory, Mumbai Indians did not get off to a good start. Mumbai failed to recover as Rohit Sharma (2), Ishan Kishan (12) and Tilak Verma (2) failed.
Cameron Green (33), Suryakumar Yadav (23), and again Nehal Vadhera (40) put up a short fight and reduced the margin of defeat. Young spinner Noor Ahmed took 3 wickets for Titans while Rashid Khan took 2 wickets. Pacer Mohit Sharma also grabbed 2 wickets. As a result, Mumbai was disappointed to score only 152/9 in 20 overs.
The Titans set a big target
Despite a mediocre start, the Gujarat Titans made a huge comeback in the last 10 overs to overwhelm the Mumbai Indians bowlers and post a massive total of 207/6. While opener Shubman Gill (56) scored a blistering half-century, David Miller (46) and Abhinav Manohar (42) played a thunderous bat in the middle of the innings.
